Summer at The Historic Dockyard Chatham

Pretend scientists with brightly coloured hair

Are you ready for a sensational summer day out?

We’ve enjoyed great days out at The Historic Dockyard Chatham in previous years. They put a lot of thought and attention into their family events, which makes it a brilliant place to visit. This summer is set to be no exception, with two amazing attractions alongside the amazing boats and submarines. There’s also a soft play, cafe and outdoor playgrounds.

Ready for fun with Doc Yard’s Summer Show?

In an all-new interactive performance complete with live science experiments, scientist Doc.Yard, along with able assistant Bunsen, investigate how forces shaped the Dockyard (31 July – 30 August). After taking part, young visitors will leave being able to answer questions like ‘How can a ship weighing thousands of tonnes float on water?’ and ‘Which falls faster a feather or a hammer?’

Do you have what it takes?
