Review ~ The Baby Hamper Company

Baby Hamper Company wrapped hamper

Among the many many things that have changed since the advent of CV-19, welcoming a new baby looks a bit different. It’s no longer the case of popping round for cuddles armed with a multi-pack of bodysuits and a cute cardigan. Instead, friends and family need to be more inventive and post their gifts.

The Baby Hamper Company has been running since 2012, and is a perfect example of sending beautiful gifts through the post.

Take their ‘Really Useful’ hamper for example, which contains four practical gifts which not only look amazing but are also guaranteed to be actually used.

Underneath the beautiful packaging, the gifts are:

  • Aden and Anais muslin in a charming Winnie the Pooh print
  • Baby Bunting Star print bodysuit, in lovely monochrome colours (0-3 months)
  • Wooden rainbow rattle / teether
  • Baby Bunting Star print hat (0-6 months), great for keeping little heads warm

I’ve been really impressed with The Baby Hamper Company. It was set up by mum and daughter Christine and Chloe, and their website shows how much thought and love they have put into the company. There are loads of little touches, like personalised messages and suggestions for reusing the hamper box.

You can recycle the hamper box

Alongside pre-picked hampers, you can also create your own from the vast range available. There’s lots to choose from, with the classic hats, rompers and toys but also very sensible gifts like Sock-Ons! Lots of the items can be personalised too, and there are different sizes to choose from to suit every budget. I dare you not to ooh and aah over the Christmas hampers!

The packaging boxes are 100% recyclable and biodegradable and made from recycled paper and board. Inside the boxes is recycled tissue paper, and a personalised message card. It all feels so much more luxurious and unique than sending an online order from a big company. If size is an issue, there’s a range of hampers specifically designed to fit through a letterbox. I’m very tempted to order myself the New Mums Pamper Hamper (shh, don’t tell anyone!!)
