Review ~ The Rainbow Gnome

All of our family love to read books, or at least look at the pictures and listen to Mum and Dad reading. We were really pleased to come across The Rainbow Gnome which was available as a free Kindle download on Amazon.

It’s a nice gentle book with a central character called Joe, who sees a rainbow and wants to discover where they come from. The story follows Joe through an adventure with some garden friends to uncover the truth.

The book has a lovely rhyme to it, and the text is large and clear enough to encourage my son to try and read some of the words. The illustrations are appealing and familiar as they feature garden scenes. It was fun to discuss more about the story with my son – which creatures would he like to come with him on an adventure?

The book’s author is Luis Weston, who is a successful blogger on Singledaddydaycare, where he writes about single parenting, dating and co-parenting.

You can purchase a paperback version of the Rainbow Gnome or download to Kindle from Amazon.
