Mums in Business Association is the brain child of sisters and co founders Estelle Keeber and Leona Burton. Both being mums who have successful businesses themselves, they truly understood the struggles that come with being a mum in business.
Mums in Business Association was created in June 2017 and in just nine months has grown to over 20k followers on social media. So what is Mums in Business Association and what makes it so special that 20k women want to be a part of it?
MIBA as it has become affectionately known is a place where mums and women in business can come to share ideas, be supported and find ways to grow their business. The group offers live training sessions on a weekly basis as well as VIP access to more exclusive in depth training. The MIBA networking events have been a huge success and are now being ran all over the world in places such as London, Australia and America. Being child friendly networking events means that mums do not have to sacrifice time away from their children in order to succeed and grown their businesses.
After the massive success of their 1st book Mumpreneur on Fire, which went to Amazons #1 best sellers, the ladies decided that it was important to share out more inspirational stories to women all over the world that felt like they were facing the struggles alone. Mumpreneur on Fire 2 is a collection of 20 inspirational stories from women who have suffered domestic violence, bullying and abuse yet still have succeeded against all the odds to build successful businesses.
We asked Estelle and Leona for their words of wisdom…..
- What’s your strategy for when your children are ill at home – how do you juggle work and looking after the kids?
Time management is crucial. Obviously the kids come first. This is the joy of being able to work at home. Get your to do list prioritized and get done what is necessary!
- What’s your strategy for when you are ill?
Rest. We are really lucky that we have each other, so when one gets sick the other takes the reigns. But most importantly we listen to our bodies!
- Work emergency vs. self-care appointment? (haircut / nails etc.)
Self care like nails isn’t crucial…if you need time out then your health comes 1st. Its about making educated decisions. But…yeah , we do love amazing nails!
- What’s your number one switch off activity?
Meditation for sure. It gives your brain a chance to calm down and therefore making you think clearer or sleep sounder.
- Best piece of advice for when you have a low day or lose your motivation?
Tomorrow is another day….and they don’t serve champagne at pity parties!
Mumpreneur on Fire Vol 2 is available on Kindle today (1st March) and in paperback from 1st April.
And don’t forget, to be in with a chance of winning the HUGE Mums In Business Association prize bundle, send a copy of your kindle payment screen to MIBA on the day of launch to be entered into the draw!
Love the tip about “tomorrow being another day.” It’s so obvious but yet very easy to fall into a state of pity and end up writing off the rest of the day or a whole activity just because you haven’t had time to do one thing or it went wrong. #BloggerClubUK
Yes, I’ve done it so many times! So easy to get caught up in the moment (especially when sleep deprived!)
I totally agree that taking care of yourself is so important. Resting when you’re ill etc. It’s the only way to be okay to take care of everyone else when it’s needed. 🙂

Sounds great! I love to meditate too when I have time. I find it hard to work from home with the little ones. Thanks for sharing with #bloggersbest x
