Brightening my Day with Appleyard Flowers

Appleyard flowers bouquet

I love a bouquet of flowers, whether it’s for my birthday, anniversary or for no reason at all, having fresh flowers around is guaranteed to give me a boost.

Appleyard Flowers is a boutique florist and offers delivery across the UK on a range of flowers, plants and other gifts.

I was lucky enough to receive a Citrus Coulis bouquet from the summer flowers range. Here’s what I thought….

The Delivery

The bouquet was actually delivered while we were out, but this made no difference at all to the actual flowers. They were carefully packaged inside a cardboard box, which provided protection for the bouquet. Inside, the flowers were presented in the same way you would expect from your local florist, tied in a lovely arrangement with two layers of luxury cellophane. The only difference was the addition of some material keeping the stems of the flowers damp (a bit like a flannel!)

The Flowers

Beautifully packaged
A safe transfer into a vase!

As you can see from the photos, the flowers in the bouquet were bright and vibrant. There was a really nice mix of germini, roses, alstroemeria  and agapanthus with foliage. Most of the flowers were in bud, so there was plenty of time for them to fully bloom. What was brilliant was that the flowers were tied at the bottom with an elastic band, so I was able to keep the arrangement whilst I moved it into the vase (perfect for clumsy types like me!)

Four days on and still blooming!

Four days on and the flowers had all come out and looked even more beautiful than when I first received them.

The Verdict

I would be delighted to receive flowers from Appleyard again. They do seem to be a cut above other delivery flowers and have a luxurious touch to them.

The Citrus Coulis bouquet I received is priced at £34.99 plus £5.99 for delivery from Yodel. There are a number of delivery options available, including next day and same day (within London).

If you fancy something a bit different, there’s a choice of indoor and outdoor plants as well as food gifts and hampers. You can combine a bouquet with bubbles or chocolates for a truly special gift (hint hint!)
